Our district's purpose for implementing Standards-Based grading, or SBG, is to communicate the most accurate student achievement data to students and families. This process identifies specific strengths and needs of each individual student to best support their learning and growth. SBG is a way to communicate progress using specific learning standards. It separates assignments that help students practice their learning, from tasks that assess their level of mastery.
What is JumpRope?
JumpRope is the standard-based gradebook being utilized at the middle schools. It was designed around SBG, allows students and families to view progress on standards, download assignments, and view missing work online. JumpRope also allows for the tracking of work habits separate from academic standards.
