Growth and Fixed Mindset
Have you heard about this thing called mindset? My guess is that you probably have. If you haven't, that's okay too! If you search it on google, you will be able to sift through a wide variety of resources, but that can be overwhelming. For now, just be sure you know what it is. In upcoming "Mindset Mondays" I'll share more resources about how to incorporate it in your collaboration with other teachers, your classroom, and involve parents as well.
What is Growth Mindset?
Why is growth mindset important?
Mindset, specifically growth mindset, is important, even critical in education for students, parents, and teachers. If we take the time to teach students about how their brain works, and do our part to foster a growth mindset, research shows that these interventions can change the mindset of students and "boost achievement and reduce achievement discrepancies."
