Student Voice - Whiteboard Center
Fridays should be fun, so check out my blog for "Fun Fridays" or "Feature Fridays." As many teachers do, so too do I love pinterest. I agree that the hours I spend searching on pinterest should count as professional development because I feel very professionally developed. One of my favorite new things that I discovered last May, are a series of ideas I pin to a board I call "Whiteboard Centers."
Here's how it works - the teacher writes some sort of quote, question, or inspirational message on the board, and students are given the opportunity to respond using post-its, or by writing on the whiteboard. Simple right? Try it out inside your classroom, in the hallway, make a poster on the bathroom door, or whatever floats your fancy! Check out the "Feel good Friday" Whiteboard Center above. Things like this help form a culture and community where students (and staff) feel valued, important, and seen.
Have something that is FUN, or some student work that you want to FEATURE? Comment below, or email me at [email protected] and I will happily blog on your behalf to share with others.
